A turnkey solar photovoltaic grid-tied solution by Glosec in 2022, the project involved the design, supply, and installation of a 1MW Rooftop mounted solution at the client’s premises – A steel Manufacturing Plant in Athi River, Machakos, Kenya. The roof-mounted design is a unique solarization solution, that complies with the best industry and installation standards, featuring numerous project implementation installations, thorough structural analysis, and reinforcement, in addition to an intense social and environmental impact assessment.
To ease the operations and maintenance, the plant has water pipes and fiber-reinforced plastic walkways along the high-wattage panels installed. The project then steps up the power from the inverters’ output to the medium voltage level for use within the steel manufacturing plant.
